Depositing at Betmica takes under a minute once your account is verified. We funded test accounts with every available method and noted where the small print matters — especially the £20 minimum for the welcome bonus and the methods that can’t receive withdrawals later.
Before you deposit
Three things need to be in place first:
- A verified account. UK rules require age and identity checks before any play or deposit. Betmica runs an electronic check during registration; if it fails, you’ll be asked to upload ID. See our KYC guide.
- A payment method in your own name. A card or e-wallet belonging to someone else will be rejected and can lead to an account review.
- A deposit limit you’re comfortable with. Betmica asks you to set one at sign-up. You can change it at any time (more below).
Tip
Want the welcome bonus? Your first deposit must be at least £20. A £10 first deposit works, but it won’t qualify for the 100% up to £500 + 100 Free Spins offer.
How to deposit at Betmica, step by step
- Log in on desktop or mobile — our Betmica login guide helps if you’re stuck.
- Tap the Deposit button at the top of the lobby to open the cashier.
- Pick a payment method from the list. Methods you’ve used before appear first.
- Enter the amount in GBP. If you want a promotion, check the bonus box is ticked — no code is needed for the welcome offer.
- Confirm with your bank app, PayPal login, Face ID or card details, depending on the method.
- Wait for the confirmation screen. Instant methods show the balance straight away.
If the balance doesn’t update within a few minutes, don’t deposit again. Check our payment problems guide first so you don’t end up with a duplicate charge.
Deposit methods explained
Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit
The default choice for most UK players. Deposits are instant, from £10 to £5,000. Your bank may ask you to approve the payment in its app (Strong Customer Authentication). Cards can also receive withdrawals, which typically take 1–3 working days after review.
PayPal
Instant deposits from £10 to £5,000, and among the quickest withdrawals once the review is done — within 12 hours in our tests. You log in to PayPal in a pop-up and approve the payment. PayPal deposits also qualify for the Wednesday Thunder Wallet Boost (25% reload up to £100 on £20+).
Apple Pay and Google Pay
Instant, £10 to £2,000 per deposit. Payment is approved with Face ID, Touch ID or your phone’s screen lock, so there’s nothing to type. They’re handy on mobile but carry a lower ceiling than a direct card. Apple Pay also counts towards the Thunder Wallet Boost.
Skrill and Neteller
Instant deposits from £10 to £5,000, with withdrawals usually back within 12 hours of approval. Both count for the Thunder Wallet Boost. Watch for the e-wallets’ own fees when moving money to your bank — Betmica charges nothing, but the wallet provider may.
Paysafecard
A prepaid voucher bought with cash in shops, from £10 to £250 per deposit. It’s useful if you want a hard cap on spending, but Paysafecard can’t receive withdrawals. You’ll need to add a debit card or bank account before cashing out.
Trustly / Open Banking
Pay straight from your bank account without sharing card details: choose your bank, log in through its app, approve. Deposits are instant from £10 to £10,000 — the highest ceiling at Betmica — and withdrawals arrive the same day after review.
Bank transfer
The slowest option: 1–3 working days to arrive, £20 minimum. Use the exact reference shown in the cashier or the payment can’t be matched to your account. Most players will find Open Banking does the same job instantly.

Deposit limits and affordability checks
Setting your own limits
Betmica lets you set daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits from the Responsible Gambling section of your account. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising one only applies after a 24-hour cooling-off period, which gives you time to reconsider. You can also add loss limits and session reminders — our responsible gambling guide walks through each tool.
Affordability checks
UK operators must make sure players aren’t spending more than they can afford. As your deposits rise, Betmica may ask for source-of-funds documents such as recent payslips or bank statements. This isn’t an accusation; it’s a regulatory requirement. Until the check is complete, deposits may be paused.
Good to know
Upload clear, complete PDFs or photos of the whole page. Cropped statements are the most common reason we’ve seen for affordability reviews dragging on.
Why there’s no credit card or crypto option
You won’t find credit cards in the Betmica cashier. The Gambling Commission banned gambling on credit cards in April 2020 to stop people betting with borrowed money. Credit-based e-wallet top-ups are blocked for the same reason.
Crypto is also absent. Betmica’s UK accounts work in GBP through regulated payment providers only, which keeps every transaction traceable for anti-money-laundering checks. If you’ve seen an offer marketed as a “crypto bonus” elsewhere, the UK equivalent at Betmica is the Thunder Wallet Boost for e-wallet deposits — details on our promotions page.
